“Puppet Theater Urinal” Made during Kohler Residency

$10,000.00

Made during an Arts and Industry Residency at the Kohler Factory in Sheboygan Wisconsin in 2001. When walking by the pre fired, upside down (this is how they fire them) urinals I noticed that they liked puppet theaters to me so I created two Urinal Puppet Theaters. Kohler company has one of the pieces in their permanent art collection and now this piece is available. The clay was carved while the porcelain was leather hard and then it was glazed and fired in one of the companies 200 foot long kilns. Comes with a puppet. The back side of the theater has a hand carved wooden relief. The stand is made from a cast iron stage area that was cast during the residency and the legs are porcelain also created at Kohler.
